Levain is a leavening agent or, bread starter also known as a chef, which is frequently used in place of yeast to raise dough. It’s French in origin, and food historians estimate it has been in use since the 1600s. It may also be called sourdough, leavening, or wild yeast. Baking with Levain takes a longer time and preparation, but the quality and taste, is far superior to factory-processed breads. The same principals can apply in filmmaking.

Levain has an understanding of current British and Scandinavian media markets. We are creative producers looking to both state and private funding in the realization of both Television and Film. We have chosen to prioritize the British television market and the European and Eastern Film market.

Levain choose to concentrate on projects that it has a respected knowledge and track record and together with associates only commits itself to projects that management believe in and are inspired by.
